Having Been Human

I probably should not have bothered with any of those job-site search places. Were I not already "hooked up" with plenty of places to interview with right now, and less picky about a job, I would do just fine by the job opportunities that seem to come from being part of a programming user group. Two decent-looking companies have hosted those meetings and been pretty clear that they hope to get some employees out of it. Seems the best way to get interesting contacts for jobs is just to go to some of those. The companies presumably win too; they get applicants who are known to be interested enough in improving their skills that they go to user groups.
