Having Been Human

On the way back from an issue-discussion meetup, I noticed that I was in the first car on the train, and that the minicar in front of that passenger car was unoccupied and had its lights out. I took the opportunity to cup my hands over the window and stare out the front of the train as it travelled (really, through 2 windows, so it was kinda distorted). It was definitely worth it. I got a feel for the train tunnels, I saw the little green/red lights the trains use to block off tunnelparts in use (they slow as they near a red; they only rarely must stop), some closed maintenance(?) stations, and various other things worth seeing. It was an unexpected pleasure.
