Intercepted Halo
Topics: Science

<ESC>dw It's magic. It's a vi sequence to delete to end of word. Nifty.

I seem to be noticing halos quite a lot tonight. The moon has a huge circle of clouds around it forming a giant halo. It's only visible if you can see a very large part of the sky. The streetlights have smaller halos. The moon's halo is unique though -- it's interrupted by a slow-moving fog of clouds. It looks like a giant eye, partly closed, but visible through the eyelid where it blocks.

Tonight/Tomorrow is the Leonid Meteor shower. I saw something a bit ago (I think). I hope to see more tomorrow morning before sunrise. Good night.
