I went to bed right after making it home yesterday and dropping some clothes in the laundry, and apart from a few trips down to rotate laundry, I slept straight from 16:15 yesterday to about 05:45 this morning. I took a very nice bike ride around Squirrel Hill, and made my way to work.

When I woke up this morning, I realized that I was angry and upset, but not about anything in particular, at least nothing I can discern. I'm feeling better now, but it wasn't a good way to wake up. I don't think it was a result of my dream -- I jotted down what I could remember when I woke up this morning, and it seemed to be a relatively boring dream about being a lawyer and dealing with issues regarding the sale of my family's old Tanager Trail home. Hmm.

I adapted a very small program I found on the internet that displayed the time until/since "1 billion", unix time, so that it just displays plain unix time, in an X window. Sometime I should bundle my hacked version of it, along with source packages I grabbed and tweaked allowing me to bring back 'banner' and 'sysvbanner' on modern Linux distros that lack them, into a tarball for distribution from my website.

Music... "Maybe, reprise" from the musical "Annie". I guess I understand the music-mentioning fad now, for these journal things. Heh. Well, no, I don't understand it, but I seem to have taken part in it often enough that I should be able to figure it out by self-examination.

Oh, yes, yesterday, I didn't mention, but I had 2 mishaps on my bike. I almost got run over on the way to work, by a car that didn't seem to care about a stop sign. On the way back, my pant leg caught in the bike and ripped. I can probably sew it back together if I can figure out where my sewing kit went. I think I'm going to need to get some of those special bands to put around my pant legs though, so they won't get caught again.

I'm going to start packing when I get home for the trips. I also really really need to clean out my inbox and reply to all the people who need replying to. I keep putting it off.

Well, back to work.
