That's actually where I keep my matches... My parents (I think) warned me that matches can occasionally spontaneously combust, so I put them in the one place where they're going to have the least fun doing that -- with a limited oxygen supply and a temperature even further from the heat of activation..
Like the Onion? It's funny, you don't see very often the old polls that inspired what I consider to be the most amusing part. Also, apparently in Britain, they're considering media controls to fight obesity. I might comment that that would never go over here, but of course, we have media controls relating to cigarettes. Oddly, when I was younger, I seem to remember someone telling me that, for some reason, on TV it was not permitted for them to show people actually eating, and that was why it's never seen. I'm now a bit doubtful about that -- it would make more sense that, with retakes, people would not be able to repeat their eating indefinitely, but who knows?
Nintendo is making a gamecube collection of four old Zelda games on one disc. I want it :) Sadly, Nintendo is being stupid, and won't sell it -- it's going to be bundled with new gamecubes (I'm not going to buy another one!) or given away as people subscribe to Nintendo Power (their magazine). I might do the second for a year -- cost of subscription is $20/yr, so it actually will be cheaper than most games. I'm still irritated that I can't just go to a store and buy it. Oh well. I checked eBay, and some schmucks are selling their games (they got them early, somehow), the cost currently being like $60 for both copies up there. Being a good citizen, I fired off an email to each bidder, saying:

I used to do this kind of thing on usenet, in for-sale newsgroups. It drove people nuts (sellers) and made buyers very happy.
I might try hanging out occasionally at some of the other coffeeshops in Squirrel Hill -- It's been observed that Coffee Tree, while providing the best Tea/Coffee for the best prices, and probably the best atmosphere, is a very bad place to meet people. I've been rather lonely recently (although the increasing burdens of work and school are partly at fault there), and it would be nice to see if I can get a new significant other (it's been six months since I had a gf, and for quite a long time, I've gotten very little significant affection). I really think I do a lot better in most ways with someone to share life with. But that's everyone, probably :) Anyhow, yeah, the 61C is somewhere I should probably hang out at more, and I might even go to starbucks sometimes (although their tea is terrible, it'd be good to get the added variety in who's there). It's time to give up hope that the couple'a ppl I'm attracted to now are interested back, and to see if I can find some new folk, as much of a bummer it is to give up on such things.
Oy, back to that psychology paper..
