Fellow Pittsburghers,

I understand that some movie or TV star who's coming here to work on some episode or documentary or something called Pittsburgh Shittsburgh. Why does it matter? Have you nothing better to be upset about? There's genocide in Darfur and the possibility of war with Iran. We have a president who belongs in prison who lies to start wars, moves us closer to theocracy, and imprisons people indefinitely and tortures them when he likes. There are plenty of ways you could be outraged in a more useful way. We also have nature all around us, trails through parks, and the moon has been particularly pretty recently. With all of this, I find outrage that some TV star doesn't like Pittsburgh to be utterly, totally an indication that y'all's heads are in the wrong place. Some people in the world might not like Pittsburgh. Why does it matter so much to you?

On another note, some people spend very large amounts of money on silly things. It's a pity that our society arranges things to allow such waste.
